How to download movies from YouTube?

Ever wondered how you can download a movie that you've found on YouTube to your local disc so you can open it with any movie player?

Here are the steps to do this. 

Follow this link to download the latest version of the aTube Catcher. It's free. 

Run the file that you've just downloaded and install the application.

Here's what you need to do to have it installed:

• Run the file that you've just downloaded.
• Click 'Next' on the first, welcome screen of the installer.
• Click 'I agree' on the license page.
• If you do not wish the application to modify your personal browser settings, check the 'Custom installation' option and deselect both available options, like on the image below (click to see full sized version).

• Choose installation folder and menu start folder in remaining steps and click 'Install'.
• Run the application.

When you go to YouTube and find a movie that you wish to download, click on the 'Share' button below the movie to see it's url address. It's the one displayed in the field on the image: 

Now open up the aTube Catcher and paste this link into the 'URL' field, like on the image below.

There are four options that you will probably wish to set up before starting the download.

1. "Save To" - this is the destination folder on your local disk
2. "Output Profile" - here you can choose a file format of your downloaded movie. Leave it unchanged if you're not sure which format to choose. You won't have any troubles opening WMV files in windows.
3. "Enable YouTube HQ/HD" - check this option to force aTube Catcher to always download highest possible quality of a movie. When you click on the "Enable YouTube HQ/HD" text, a popup window will show up. You can choose qualities that you're interested in in here. Just keep in mind that higher quality means bigger file and longer download time.
4. "Shutdown PC when done" - pretty straightforward. Check if you want to shut down your pc when download is done.

Now, all that's left is to click the "Download" button
